On February 15th, a somewhat large asteroid (diameter ~50m) will come closer to the Earth than any such asteroid has come for hundreds of years. It will not hit us but it will come inbetween our GPS satellites and those satellites that are in geosynchronous orbit. This chart gives you an idea of how close that is:
